I drove 40 miles to Bay Area Bird & Exotics Hospital as they are the only vet that would see my bird on an emergency basis. When I called on a Saturday morning and spoke with Glen and he was very kind and did what he could to fit us in to see the doctor. Our experience with Dr. Marcucci was wonderful. She did a very thorough examination and took her time explaining the results. Our whole experience with Bay Area Bird & Exotics Hospital was excellent.

Dr. Marcucci is a very knowledgeable veterinarian. When my pet rabbit was sick, I relied on Dr. Marcucci for the treatments and she also gave me a piece of my mind knowing that my rabbit was in good hands. She and her entire staff always provided friendly services during our visits.

My lola(bunny) was sick and haven’t eaten for 2 days. So I took her in to this wonderful place where they specialize awesome animals like birds and bunnies. After taking her there she seems a lot better. Now she’s running around like crazy, feeling a lot better. Thank you bay area bird hospital!

I was very impressed with the Bay Area Bird & Exotics Hospital. The place was immaculate, the person at the desk, helpful and respectful, and most of all, the person who tended to my sick bird was extremely patient and took the time to explain to me what she thought needed to be done. I was given information to take home to read about parakeet care and samples of better food choices for my birds. I don’t know many people who have pets that would be likely to be treated at BABEH but if in the future I do, I’ll definitely recommend this place to them. Also – thanks to the treatment my bird received, he is fine now! so thanks!

Our rabbit stopped eating and was acting lethargic. We were able to get in to see the vet the same day.
The vet was very professional and had clearly read our rabbit’s medical history despite only a few hours notice for the appointment.
I am happy to say our rabbit is recovering nicely.
I definitely recommend Bay Area Bird & Exotics Hospital!

It’s never fun having to visit the vet with a sick animal. BABEH understands that and makes the visit as enjoyable and easy as possible. Dr. Marcucci is wonderful. She takes her time, listens to my concerns and helps me balance care decisions with what is right for me and my family. The staff at BABEH is also great. From Cindy at the reception, to the vet techs, BABEH is starting to feel like home.

I have taken Echo, my African Grey, to Bay Area Bird & Exotics Hospital (principally Dr. Dustin) for over ten years. They are always friendly, caring, and courteous, and Echo gets very thorough and competent care.

I brought in my severely injured cocktiel to Bay Area Bird hospital recently. I was not only traumatized by the whole incident but super worried about our poor family pet. Dr. Marcucci and staff were so awesome. They calmed me down and immediately assisted our poor bird. It was definitely a scary circumstance but due to their extremely excellent care and Dr.. Marcucci’s wonderful demeanor, our little birdy is well on her way to getting better. Thank you!

Dr. Duskin is very knowledgeable and professional. She was very gentle with our little budgie. I felt very confident in her diagnosis and she gave us all possible treatment options for our bird’s condition and didn’t push anything. We felt like she understood us and what we wanted for our budgie.

We had a very positive experience at Bay Area Bird & Exotics Hospital. We took our small parrot there after he was injured in an altercation with a dog. The receptionist was very prompt in calling us back to set up an appointment the same day, and Dr. Marcucci saw him quickly. She was pleasant and thorough in doing an exam and evaluating his overall health status, as well as obviously focusing on the acute injury. She provided education about general health needs, such as his diet, etc. She did X-rays and gave us results, and provided us with a treatment plan, including medications to take home. Then she called us back with additional information two days later, after the radiology specialist looked at the X-rays. We feel comfortable and reassured that our bird received excellent care, and we are glad to know about this specialty veterinarian available in SF.

Both Pepper and Loki are alive because of the wonderful Drs. Dustin and Marcucci and the loving staff at Bay Area Bird & Exotics Hospital. They give us confidence in having made the correct decision for Pepper and Loki’s medical care and grooming.

It was my first experience at the Bird Hospital. The Dr. and assistants were thoughtful, gentle, caring, and clear. I had a little wait because the person before had unexpected extra needs on a regular check up, but it was a comfortable waiting area. I was also glad that they were giving the person/pet the attention needed before me. They apologized and continued to not rush me but give me and my little ill parakeet the care needed. I will/would go back for my parakeet needs.

Dr. Dustin performed a surgery on my ringneck dove, Axel, around 8 years ago (it was old then at 18 yrs old!). I was worried and she did a perfect job.
At age 25 we saw her again. Dr. Dustin’s advice makes decision more black and white for me when dealing with quality of life issues. I’m happy Axel still has the life force to continue.
